A History (A continuation from my application)
During his college years, Dark fell in love for the first, true time. It was during a mission to steal the city's museum's newset work of art, (he always enjoyed taking those) when he met her. They were both after the same piece and instantly fell in love. Throughout college they formed a relaintionship and fell deeply in love, while never quitting their thieving excursions.
After college let out, he proposed and they became engaged. On a walk together at night a man ran past them. Shrugging it off casually, they continued on until they heard gunshots. Before he could move, his finacee' was on the ground. Bending down, it was dark, but blood was evident. Later, he learned that she was shot four times in multiple places.
She was D.O.A. (Dead on Arrival) when they got to the hospital. Outside the ER, Dark could barely grasp what was happening until the doctor came out. He explained how her wounds affected her death and how it was painless in the most part.
Dark refuses to let himself fall in love again; he won't ever get past the first date with anyone. Despite his flirting and suave, cool attitude it'sall an attempt to try and not hate himself by trying to forget. To try and preserve his first memory with her, he will steal the newest exhibit at the Metropolis Museum of Art. He keeps the newspaper clippings in a box under his couch, where he sleeps.
